Trimdon United Juniors FC Vs Billingham Allstars

Result:                   Trimdon 5 Billingham Allstars 2

Trimdon Scorers:                     M Grimley 4 S Burke 1

Trimdon Man of the Match:Matthew Grimley for an excellent striking performance.

The game started evenly with both teams working hard to get the upper hand with some good football being played in all areas of the pitch.

Trimdon came closest to scoring with two headers from Matthew Grimley and Mark Waller from excellent corners by Adam Ward before finally breaking the deadlock when Matthew Grimley scored with a superb shot from around 30 yards which gave the Billingham Keeper little chance.

Trimdon relaxed and started to play some good football and deservedly increased their lead when Stephen Burke converted a knock back from Matthew Grimley following another excellent corner by Adam Ward.

Billingham however were given a lifeline when a mistake in the Trimdon Defence allowed their speedy center forward to break through and score a well taken goal.

Billingham’s joy was short lived however when a skilful interchange between Stephen Burke and Robert Hughes allowed Burke to supply a good cross which was volleyed home strongly by Matthew Grimley to restore the two goal advantage.

Billingham were then denied a second by an excellent save from Ryan Johnson in the Trimdon goal.

Half Time Score:              Trimdon United Juniors 3 Billingham Allstars 1

Billingham started the second half well and their efforts were rewarded with a second goal when a mix up in the Trimdon midfield allowed their winger to feed their center forward who chipped over the advancing Trimdon keeper to reduce the deficit.

Trimdon again hit back quickly when a great pass from Thomas Flint found Stephen Burke who crossed well for Matthew Grimley who controlled and turned well before driving in to complete his hat trick.

Trimdon now had control of the game and played some neat passing throughout the team which resulted with Matthew Grimley being presented with a chance to score his fourth following another excellent through ball by Thomas Flint. Grimley racing onto the ball and drilling home from the edge of the box.

An excellent all round performance from Trimdon.
Final Score:                Trimdon United Juniors 5 Billingham Allstars 2
