A thoroughly miserable day started with only 10 players, with one or two of these lads not being fully fit, being available for Trimdon’s difficult trip to the unbeaten league leaders Brompton Juniors and things did not improve once the match kicked off.
Brompton dominated the game from the start playing some flowing football in poor playing conditions. The Trimdon lads tried to make a game of it but were never really in the game with Brompton racing into a 4 goal lead in the first 20 minutes.
The highlight of the first half for Trimdon being an excellent penalty save from goal keeper Ryan Johnson.
Brompton added two more goals before half time

The second half was very much the same as the first with a rampant Brompton team adding a further 7 goals without reply.
As with the first half the highlight for Trimdon was another superb penalty save by keeper Ryan Johnson; who despite the heavy score line was easily Trimdon’s man of the match.
