Trimdon Man of the Match: Everyone of the 8 players who completed the match; Ryan Johnson, Stephen Burke, Callum Young, Craig Holden, Robert Hughes, Matthew Arnell, Adam Ward and David Jackson
The day started badly for Trimdon when only 8 players turned up for the game due to illness, injury and other commitments for the other 8 members of the squad; to their credit the lads who turned up wanted to play the game and the match kicked off on time.
As would be expected Trimdon were under pressure from the off but some tremendous defending and goal keeping kept a dominant Coulby Newham side at bay.
Trimdon’s plight was worsened when a recurrent back injury forced Adam Ward to leave the field after only 15 minutes.
Coulby Newham finally broke the deadlock after about twenty five minutes when a shot from the right hand side of the field finally beat Ryan Johnson in the Trimdon goal.
Coulby scored a second from a corner when the ball was deflected into his own net by Matthew Arnell. A third was added before the break following a good passing movement by Coulby Newham

The Coulby onslaught continued in the second half but the fight of the Trimdon team especially David Jackson in the center of midfield, coupled with some excellent goalkeeping and woeful finishing kept the score at three nil until Trimdon broke away with a neat move out of defence with Robert Hughes providing a lovely pass for Matthew Arnell to run onto and score with a chip over the Coulby goalkeepers head.
The Trimdon defence of Callum Young, Stephen Burke and Craig Holden continued to defend stoutly and when they were breached Ryan Johnson was excellent in the Trimdon goal.
Coulby did score a fourth with a very good move through midfield resulting in a fierce shot into the Trimdon goal which gave neither defence or goal keeper a chance.
