Trimdon turn up to find a small sided pitch – never a good omen as we don’t play well on top of each other – these lads are almost fully grown and shouldn’t be playing on pitches this size. Nevertheless off we go and it’s very congested with the ball under everyone’s feet we can’t seem to move it around effectively. New Marske though are used to this and break very well to go 2 up – the first a good goal followed by a flukey cross which just dipped under Scotty’s bar. Soon after though a shot from the sidelines adds to Josh’s tally and pulls it back to 2 – 1. No coordination to the play and only the fullbacks seem to adapt to the dimensions with both Tom Barker and Luke Casson tackling and distributing well. They put away another 4 goals and we answer with two – one more for Josh and a good goal from Shaun Swan so the game ends 6 – 3.
MOM from them – couldn’t split Tom Barker and Luke Casson MOM from report goes to Josh again for his usual hard work and 2 good goals.
