Trimdon Man of the Match: Kieran Thompson – thoroughly deserved for a strong display at left back where he defended well and caused the Hardwick defence lots of problems with his attacking play down the wing.
The match was played in very windy conditions with Trimdon taking advantage of the wind after only 5 minutes when Ryan Darby scored from his own half following a clearance from the Hardwick goalkeeper. Trimdon continued to dominate the game and came close to extending their lead on a number of occasions before finally doing so when Robbie Tinkler converted a penalty following a foul by the Hardwick goalkeeper. A third was added before the break by Jonathan Eves following some good passing work by Trimdon.

The second half continued in the same manner with Trimdon largely dominating the play. Hardwick however did reduce the deficit with a well worked goal and they could have further reduced the gap but for a couple of good saves from James Johnson ion the Trimdon goal.
Trimdon got back into their stride and increased their lead when a Jonathan Eves shot was deflected into the Hardwick goal by a defender (goal credited to Jonathan by both team managers). Nathan Hilder scored Trimdon’s final goal following another good passing movement.
