Our match against Redcar was the first game for 2007 and gladly we carried on where we left off in 2006. Though unlike our usual form, we started off like a racing car and made all the running but wasted some good chances making the score at half time 0-0.
The second half saw Trimdon strong and it was no surprise when we took the lead with a superb turn and shot from Sam. Well done Sam! We pressed on but unfortunately wasted more chances which lead to a hole in the midfield. This allowed Redcar to come back into the game and deservedly they scored the equaliser.
Trimdon are now solid and this confidence showed when we upped the power and began to push forward. Again this paid off with a fabulous goal from Callum. Well done Callum! The game was then put totally out of Redcar’s reach by a goal from Luke who ran through the defence and hit the ball in the back of the net. Well done Luke!
The match against Redcar was a positive performance and a well deserved win for us. Scatty, Bradders and Jono had a cracking game so well done lads! However everyone can take pride in a good all round display of quality football.
Man of the match was shared between Scatty and Bradley so well done to you both.
