TRIMDON UNITED NEWSLETTER SEVEN 25th October 2007
Our game against Brompton Juniors was another home fixture for us and a chance to pull ourselves back into shape from our last disastrous game. Brompton are having a tough run at present so this had the makings of an easy run for us.
From the moment the whistle went Trimdon started off strong and dominated most of the first half with the majority of play in the Brompton box. It therefore came as no surprise when Tom Lawson made his presence felt with his first league goal for Trimdon. This then created a trend and Sam who had an excellent game scored a quick fire hatrick. Well done to you both. Half time score 4-0.
The second half started off with the same pace and it wasn’t long before Luke Walton added his name to the score making it 5-0. After a quick change around and several substitutions, Bob Shaw and Ryan chipped into the goal sheet with Ryan scoring two. Jono who looked comfortable in any position came out of goal and managed to score a goal making the final score a whooping 9-0!
This was a fantastic game full of pace and determination. The 9-0 score was harsh on Brompton who showed good sportsmanship and battled till the end. Kieran Storey played a storming match as ever and was named man of the match. However all the players contributed to the game and stepped up to the challenge. Let’s hope we are back on track now and the winning continues. Well done to you all. |
